ibis budget Bayonne

Good value for money, comfy room, friendly staff, nice restaurant attached with good food and also friendly staff, Very good location, especially for just passing through and needing bed for the night, easy to find.

Easy to find location, with ample free parking. Rooms are small, per typical Ibis, but adequate. Easy access to the bike trail and bridge into Bayonne and to Biarritz. The bed was comfortable. I chose a location out of town to avoid the all night partying that is typical with the annual fête d’été. It was quiet at night, until the smoke alarm went off at 01:40. That was indeed a rude awakening. The national police responded first, then the fire engines. After 20 minutes, we were allowed to go back to our rooms. I did not smell any smoke, so not sure what the issue was.

Stayed 4 days in all - Lovely low prices hotel with comfortable beds, air conditioning, TV, quite a nice bathroom. Didn’t have the chance to try the breakfast because I am a night owl so I couldn’t wake up early enough, but I could definetely sleep day and night without a problem. The ‘courtepaille’ restaurant next door was very nice and the staff were very helpful, kind and sympathetic in both places. Very satisfied in all :)

Check in was seamless and the ladies did try to get an adjoining room but that wasn’t available, we were early!

The room was clean and practical. The check-in was easy. Good bus connection between railway station and hotel. Bus stop only a few meters away.
